The legend of King Arthur is alive and kicking in the forthcoming Netflix adaptation of Bernard Cornwell’s Warlord Chronicles depicting his interpretation of King Arthur.
Following on from the success of The Last Kingdom series, Netflix is taking the plunge, where so many film studios have followed.
The last big Hollywood production of a King Arthur movie was "King Arthur: Legend of the Sword," directed by Guy Ritchie and released in 2017. The film was originally meant to be the first in a six-film franchise, but the project was eventually dropped by Warner Bros. due to concerns about the profitability of the actors.
Taking on the mantle of King Arthur next are ITVX, adapting Cornwell’s Warlord Chronicles for the small screen.
Consisting of Enemy of the God, Excalibur and The Winter King making up the chronicles, Cornwell brings a more gritty, realistic and authenticity to the story, which other productions of King Arthur fail to deliver.
Warlord Chronicles by Bernard Cornwell |
While no one disputes Cornwell’s flair for bringing ancient British history to life, nothing is better than the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth.
New research by the unsung heroes of ancient British history Alan Wilson and Baram Blackett, tell a very different story to the one Hollywood has peddled for decades, and which Cornwell tells in his Warlord Chronicles.
According to the ancient Khrumry records, (still available to read today from the archives of Cardiff Library), the real King Arthur didn’t need to pull a sword from a stone to become King, he was born into a Royal Dynasty leading back to the Holy family, on Christmas Day 503AD in Glamorgan, South Wales, son of King Meurig (Maurice) and grandson to the then Pendragon King Tewdrig (Theoderic).
Revealing a true life story far superior to any Hollywood fantasy, and anything Cornwell can imagine, the real life story of King Arthur blows all fantasy away.
Scholars, historians and web search engines will confidentially tell you that the story of King Arthur remains a mystery and open to interpretation.
Nothing could be further from the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth.
For the first time in nearly 1,500 years, the true terrible story of the life and times of King Arthur II, is coming to light.
The facts paint a very different story to the French romantic rubbish told by Hollywood.
The legends of King Arthur have been evolving for nearly a millennium, and countless authors have used his legends to explore their own anxieties, fears, and hopes. Some scholars argue that Arthur was originally a fictional hero of folklore or even a half-forgotten Celtic deity.
For centuries the true story of King Arthur remained untold, until now!
A growing number of people are coming together under the banner of King Arthur, avid followers of the historical research of Alan Wilson and Baram Blackett.
While Cornwell carries on the long tradition of mis-telling the true story of King Arthur, moves are abreast in Brighton, destined to change the rules, and for the first time in history, finally tell the true story of King Arthur.
Bringing Hollywood to Brighton, Matt Taylor, maverick politician, writer and movie maker, has started the ball rolling on the trilogy of King Arthur movies set to rule them all.
Working with a growing team of people, Taylor is quickly building a team to start filming on the true story of King Arthur, The War King - King Arthur II.
While some films can take up to ten years in pre-production, Taylor is hoping that an investment from the Saudi Investment Fund, as part of his £20 Billion vision for Brighton in the 22nd Century, will ensure The King Arthur War King Trilogy is filmed sooner rather than later.
