Matt Taylor, maverick politician, writer, and filmmaker, has announced that he is in the early stages of developing a new King Arthur movie, "The War King - The True Story," set to be filmed in Brighton.
While there is no confirmation of funding from the Saudi Public Investment yet, Taylor has received positive feedback from actors and production staff who want to get involved.
"This sounds fab! Wow," says Kerri. Kern says, "All sounds so exciting," Angela said. "As a local actor, this sounds like a fascinating story, and I would love to be involved in this if you have a role," Ahsile said. "Would love to take a look at what you've written, such a good idea," James said. "I'm a local actor keen to get involved," while Liam sums it up perfectly, “I just read the project brief, it sounds amazing.”
The new King Arthur movie will be a retelling of the legend, exploring the true story behind the myth based on the historical research of Alan Wilson and Baram Blackett.
Taylor is excited to bring this story to life and hopes to involve local talent in the production.
"I am thrilled to be working on this project and to have received such positive feedback from actors and production staff," Taylor said. "I believe that Brighton has a wealth of talent, and I am excited to involve local actors and crew in the making of this movie."
